Manufacturing
From material to sample, in four areas
These are photographs of our own raw material, cutting, sewing and sampling areas.
- Step 01
Raw material warehouse
Fabric and materials are stored in wrapped rolls on the warehouse floor.
Every order begins with materials. The warehouse keeps rolls and bags off the walkways so fabric can be pulled for cutting.
- Step 02
Cutting area
Long cutting tables with a fabric spreading machine at one end.
Fabric is spread across long tables before it is cut into the panels, cups and bands that each style needs.
- Step 03
Sewing area
Rows of sewing stations with parts bins beside the line.
Cut parts move to the sewing floor, where stations are lined up along the room with bins for parts and finished pieces.
- Step 04
Sampling area
A room of sewing machines, thread shelving and a pressing table for samples.
Samples are developed in their own room, so a new style can be tested and reviewed before an order is confirmed.
